Exempted courses (CR), equivalent (T) and incomplete (I) as well as any course outside the student's study plan are not included in the calculation of the GPAs.

Semester GPA:
- The calculation of the semester GPA includes all the courses studied by the student in that semester, passing or failing, according to the study plan.
- The Semester GPA is calculated based on the division of the sum of points earned by the student in all the courses studied in the mentioned semester and fall within his study plan over the number of credits of these courses.
Cumulative GPA:
- The Cumulative GPA is calculated based on the division of the sum of points earned by the student in all the courses studied within his study plan over the number of credits of these courses.
Merits:
- For local accreditations' reasons, the cumulative GPA limits may be adjusted, as long as it is not contradicting the university regulations and bylaws for all degrees' level
