“Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Consulting"
Arab Open University Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Consulting aims to enhance the position of the Arab Open University as a leading university in the fields of innovation, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship through technology transfer and developing research into applicable solutions. The center relies on enhancing the innovative capabilities and developing the practical skills of students, faculty members, researchers and the community, in addition to supporting entrepreneurship and transforming innovations into economically viable projects that serve the local and regional market.

Providing an entrepreneurial environment by supporting scientific research, encouraging innovation, establishing effective partnerships with the industrial sector and directing efforts towards developing innovative technical solutions that meet the needs of society and contribute to enhancing economic development.

IV. Administrative Decisions and Establishment
The Center's journey includes major organizational and administrative milestones, represented by:
- Establishment and Inception: The President of the University, Prof. Mohamed Bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, issued a decision on November 16, 2022, establishing the "Arab Open University Knowledge and Innovation Center" (AOU-KIC) under the supervision of the Vice President for Planning and Development. The name subsequently evolved into the "Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Consulting" to encompass educational research, Industry 4.0 applications, and sustainable development support, alongside intellectual property services, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and consulting.

- Management and Leadership (2024): Dr. Talal Bin Salem Al-Rasbi was appointed Director of the Center for a three-year term starting November 3, 2024 (concurrently with his role as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law), and Ms. Amani Bint Ahmed Al-Balushi was appointed Deputy Director for the same period (alongside her role as Lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration).قرار إداري رقم (160-2024) بشــأن تعيين نائب مدير مركز الابتكار - signed.pdf.
- Formation of the Supervisory Committee: A decision was issued to form the "Innovation, Technology Transfer and Consulting Committee," chaired by Dr. Nasser Bin Ali Al-Yahyai and comprising representatives from the Training Academy, the Center's management, and the Faculty of Computing. V. Operational Plan (2024/2025)
The University adopts an operational plan for the Innovation Center for the 2024–2025 academic year, based on tracking quarterly performance metrics and goals, aiming to:

- Enhance sustainable development initiatives and broaden the scope of consulting services.

- Support and Incubation: Signing incubation contracts for startups and organizing specialized workshops.
- National Participation: Active presence in competitions and events such as "Injaz Oman," "Startup Weekend," and school forums.
- Partnerships and Media: Strengthening academic cooperation and securing media coverage on "Muscat FM" radio and Al-Sahwa newspaper.
- Technical Services: Expanding the delivery of mentorship, guidance, and intellectual property protection services.
