What is The Student Advisory Council?
The Student Advisory Council is an elected student body that represents all the university's branch students, and it is committed to achieving its objectives in accordance with the university's rules and regulations and the policies of the Ministry of Higher Education.
What are the Objectives of The Advisory Student Council?
- Representing the students in the branch's administration through the attendance of the Student Council's president to the meetings of the branch's Council.
- Communicating the students' views and suggestions to the university's administration through the regular meetings (twice a semester) or through urgent meetings.
- Communicating the students' urgent requests to hold meetings with the university's administration to the Student Affairs to take the necessary action.
- Holding activities (workshops, meetings, panel discussions, etc.) that meet the students' needs.
- Communicating with the outside community through development programs that introduce the university and keep its prominence and educate the community in coordination with the Student Affairs.
- Preparing an annual plan of the Council's activities and submit it to the Student Affairs to review it.
- Asking the relevant departments regarding complaints about them from students and dealing with them.

What are the Steps of Forming the Student's Advisory Council?
- The Student's Affairs and its assistants undertake a media campaign about the Student Council.
- Initiating the process of candidacy for the Council and filling in the candidacy forms.
- The Student Affairs Department receives the forms and sorts them according to the candidacy requirements.
- A list of the candidates meeting the requirements is made.
- Candidates are asked to conduct a media campaign to market their goals.
- The university students elect ten candidates to represent them in the Council.
- The Student Affairs Department shall count the votes and forms the Student Council.
- The elected members of the Student Council shall form the administrative board of the Council according to the regulations.
- The names of the members and their positions in the administrative board shall be submitted to the branch's director for approval.

Am I Allowed to Be a Member in The Student Advisory Council?
Every student is entitled to run for a membership in the Council on the conditions of:
- Has not been sentenced to criminal penalties.
- Not under academic probation.
Membership shall be cancelled in case of:
- Suspension from the university or violation of the university's main regulations or the public morals.
- The student's graduation.
The course of the Student Advisory Council shall end at the end of the second semester of each academic year, and the next course shall begin.
