Dr. Walid Aboraya obtained
his PhD in Educational Technology from the UK in 2009, his background in ICT
and education led him to work in the department of education technology and
distance education at Cairo University. He is specialized in the pedagogical
use of technology in education on both the research and practical levels. He supervised number of MA & PhD dissertations in the field of instructional
technology in Cairo University. Due to his specialization, he acted as a consultant,
in planning for and applying the strategies of disseminating e-learning culture
among public Egyptian universities. He is now acting as an assistant professor and is the research director
in Arab Open University, Sultanate of Oman. His research interests include
instructional technology, Special educational Needs, Diffusion of innovation,
pedagogical use of ICT, and e-learning.
