Dr. Syed Sadullah Hussainy is working as a
faculty member at the Faculty of Business Studies at Arab Open University in
Oman. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Hussainy has taught at several universities
and colleges in India and Oman. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and
Commerce. His
master's degrees are in postgraduate diploma in human resource management, MBA,
MFM, and M.Phil. He frequently contributes book chapters and research articles
to national and international journals and publications. His research areas are leadership, emotional intelligence, organizational behavior and psychology, and human resource management. At various national and
international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs, he has
presented on a range of business and management-related issues.
Dr. Hussainy is the General Course Coordinator
(GCC) of B629 (Marketing and Finance). He is also working as a Branch Course
Chair (BCC) for several courses in the current and previous semesters which include B628: Managing Organization and
People, B629, Marketing and Finance, BUS310: Strategic Management, B207A:
Exploring Business Opportunities 1, B207B: Exploring Business Opportunities 2,
LB170: Business Communication Skills. Dr Hussing is teaching general management courses. During his previous employment, he
taught Human Resource Management, Management, organizational behavior and various business studies
modules at the graduate and post-graduate levels.
ü Dr Hussainy has more than 20 years of teaching
experience in Higher Educational Institutions in India and Oman. He is presently
working as a Lecturer at Faculty of Business Studies, Arab Open University, Oman,
since Feb 2013. Dr Hussainy has also worked as a Lecturer in the
Department of Business Studies, University of Technology and Applied Science
formerly known as Ibra College of Technology, Sultanate of Oman from Feb 2008
to January 2013. He worked as a Lecturer in The Department of Business
Administration, The New College, and Chennai-14, from July 2003 to February
2008.
He was a visiting faculty for handling
distance education classes of BBA and MBA, of Mother Teresa University,
Annamalia University, Madurai Kamraj University and University of Madras and project
guide of BBA and MBA distance education of Annamalai University, Madurai Kamraj
University and University of Madras. He has a year of industry experience and worked
as Sales team manager at Hello Chennai Water Private Limited from July 2002 to
June 2003.
