Responsibilities of the Office of the Assistant Rector for Academic Affairs and Research :
The Office of the Assistant Rector for Academic Affairs and Research is responsible for the overall administrative supervision of the office. It also coordinates and collaborates with all departments, units, committees, and faculties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process equalizations requests from students, forward them to the relevant faculties if necessary.
- Handle all internal and external academic inquiries and respond in accordance with the university's regulations, rules, and policies, and direct them to the concerned parties if needed.
- Maintain academic records, archiving, and providing reports on faculties and academic units as required or forward them to the relevant authorities.
- Receive students' appeals and /or students' complaints, and other related issues, and direct them to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
- Inform students of decisions and actions and archive them periodically.
- Circulate information and directives to the relevant staff as received from the Assistant Rector for Academic Affairs and Research.
- Monitor the progress of exams, along with coursework, and coordinating with deans, faculty members, and the exam unit.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Assistant Rector for Academic Affairs and Research.
