- Dr. Hussein bin Said bin Saif Al-Ghafri holds a PhD in Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with an excellent grade with honours. He has more than 13 years of experience in legal work. He is currently the Dean of Law at the Arab Open University in the Sultanate of Oman and an Assistant Professor of Criminal Law. He has many published books and research papers on the Internet, in addition to a group of working papers in which he has participated in many scientific events inside and outside the Sultanate. He also has many articles published in local newspapers.
He participated in the drafting and review of several laws, the most important of which are the Anti-Information Technology Crimes Law, the New Electronic Transactions Bill, the Right to Access Information Bill, and the Personal Data Protection Bill. He also participated in the review of the unified law against information technology crimes for the GCC countries.
