I finished my bachelor's degree at Sultan Qaboos University in 1995. In 2001, I earned a diploma in Educational Supervision. In 2002, I finished my master's degree in TESOL at Leeds University in the United Kingdom.

Currently, I teach English to university students at the Arab Open University in the Sultanate of Oman. I am also assigned to do other academic work at the university. I am the deputy manager of the Quality Assurance and accreditation Unit in the Arab Open University. In addition to that, I am tasked with coordinating the work of a part of the English Department I also write coursebooks for teaching English for different levels (including IELTS preparation courses). 

In my previous post, I held the post of senior officer (SO1) Educational Performance Evaluator in the Quality Control Department at the National Defence College. My job involved improving the educational performance of the college by applying a series of processes such as designing evaluation tools (lectures and workshops evaluation), applying them to the concerned parties and finally writing reports based on the results of these evaluations. Throughout this possession, I have participated in writing the quality manual, the strategic plan, the operational plan, the quality standards of education, the SOPs, the auditing manual and the evaluation forms. I was nominated to be a member in many committees and entrusted to write the reports and minutes of these committees’ meetings. I was a member in the steering committee of the annual symposium for four years.
