The Learning Support Centre (LSC) is dedicated to fulfilling the noble mission of the Arab Open University by providing services to students across all academic levels, aligned with the university's vision of being “a pioneer in the quality of education for all and the development of a knowledge society."
The centre aims to enhance the existing services offered by the Arab Open University. Through constructive and positive engagement, the LSC assists students in reaching their personal, academic, and professional aspirations. Additionally, the centre offers essential support and tutoring to deepen students' curriculum comprehension. The LSC is also committed to cultivating the learning skills necessary to boost students' confidence in their capabilities.
LSC has the flexibility to accommodate students' needs and prepare sessions and workshops as required by the university, faculties, and students. Moreover, it promotes a positive perspective on the learning process and the university.
Students are welcome to stop by and discuss their needs and areas of weakness and/or to request academic support. Recognising shortcomings allows for the conquering of challenges. Hence, LSC strives to create a link for students by fostering positive connections with students and relevant departments.
The LSC likewise supervises the services provided by the PASS (Peer Assistant Student Support) tutors.
Similarly, LSC supports students' societies and clubs and supervises several clubs.
All services offered by the centre are complimentary for university students.
