MSc in Computing (Cyber Security and Forensics)
The MSc in Computing is an intensive programme of study designed specifically for graduates of computing and related disciplines, and for those with appropriate industrial experience. The qualification enables the students to develop their knowledge and skills in computing and to promote a professional attitude to the application of those skills.The qualification will: Give students the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effectiveprofessional in the computing industry. Develop student's abilities in the critical evaluation of the theories, practices andsystems used in a range of areas of computing. Provide students with selected specialised areas of study so that you can experienceand develop the frontiers of practice and research in focused aspects of computingand its application. Encourage students, through the provision of appropriate educational activities, todevelop study and transferable skills applicable to your employment and yourcontinuing professional development. Program Duration
The FCS follows the general academic calendar of the AOU, which consists of 2 main semesters of Fall and Spring and a shorter semester of Summer. The fall and spring semesters are normally of 16-week duration whereas the summer semester is of about 10-week duration. The Fall Semester usually starts in October and ends in February whereas the Spring Semester runs from March till June. The summer semester usually runs from June till August. The term and assessment dates are clearly marked in the Academic Calendar.
